Manuel Hernandez

Manuel V. Hernandez, 78, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away at his home on December 1, 2014.

Manuel was born March 1, 1936 in Canutillo, Durango, Mexico to Dionicio Hernandez and Vicenta Varela. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Teresa Hernandez, son Juan Gallegos, and brother Cuco Varela.

Manuel is survived by his 4 sons Javier Hernandez and wife Maria of Austin, TX, Raul Hernandez and Loida Flores of Clovis, NM, Manuel Hernandez and wife Leti of Clovis, NM, Dionicio Hernandez of Austin, TX, 7 daughters Arcelia Hernandez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Luz Elena Hernandez and husband Manuel Santoyo of Austin, TX, Yolanda Hernandez and husband Francisco Bersosa of Chihuahua, Mexico, Rosalva Hernandez and husband Jorge of Chihuahua, Mexico, Carmen Hernandez and husband Ignacio Rodriguez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Fernanda Hernandez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Julia Roman of Clovis, NM, 2 brothers Fernando Hernandez and wife Florinda of Clovis, NM, Guadalupe Hernandez and wife Inez of Clovis, NM, 2 sisters Hortencia Hernandez of Chihuahua, Mexico, Ignacia Hernandez of Chihuahua, Mexico, 23 grandchildren, and 5 greatgrandchildern.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday December 5, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Clovis, NM with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Pallbearers are Fabian Roman, Daniel Hernandez, Mathew Armendariz, Nick Armendariz, Jude Burrell and Abigail Hernandez. Honarary pallbearer is Juan Gallegos.
