Addie Whittington

Addie West Whittington of Midland, Texas passed away on October 31, 2012 in Midland.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens located at 1601 E. Llano Estacado in Clovis, New Mexico with Mike Stahl officiating. The family of Addie will be available for visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to graveside services at SteedTodd Funeral Home, 800 E. Manana Blvd., Clovis, NM.

Addie was born on September 20, 1915 to Add Clyn West and Grace Gay Lawson West in Tucumcari, NM. She graduated from Ft. Sumner High School. Addie married Bill Whittington on January 1, 1935 in Clovis, NM. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother to nine children and many great grandchildren.

Addie was preceded in death by her parents: Add and Grace West her husband: Bill Whittington one son: Larry Whittington four brothers and one sister, all of Ft. Sumner.

Addie is survived by five sons: Jim Joyce Whittington of Salt Lake City, UT, Bill Whittington of San Diego, CA, Wesley Judy Whittington of Barton, TX, Lynn Whittington of Pasadena, TX and Jeri Carlynn Whittington of Farmington, NM three daughters: Anita Pete Henderson of Midland, TX, Roxie Walt Jeter of Ft. Lupton, CO and Mary Royce Wyrick of Rio Rancho, NM two brothers: Red West and Jake West of Ft. Sumner, NM seventeen grandchildren, twentynine great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are her grandsons: Chuck Whittington, Larry Whittington, John Whittington, Ridge Tullos, Justin Henderson and Vane Wyrick.
