Alfred Tuck Walker, 72, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was born April 10, 1935 in Clovis, New Mexico to James Franklin Myrtle B. Whitener Walker.
He was a lifetime resident of Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School. He owned and operated Sofas Etc. for 30 years until his retirement in July of 2007. He liked to work on antique cars and he loved to travel.
He is survived by 1 sister, June Finley of Clovis; his business partner, Ralph Madrid of Clovis; 2 nieces, Junelle Hopingardner Don and Margaret Dindinger Richard all of Clovis; 4 nephews, Don Hazelwood Kim of Sun City, Arizona, Don Finley Kim of Princeton, Illinois, J. Roy Miller Clydene of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Jim Walker of Albuquerque, New Mexico and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, James Walker and 2 sisters, Lovelle Childs and Wanda Dunn.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Steed-Todd Chapel with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Casket bearers will be Phillip Gonzales Jr., Jesse Dominguez, Don Hopingardner, John Sain, Christopher Miller, Ricky Sain Don Finley. Honorary casket bearers will be Robert Knowles, Morris Stagner, Dr. Bill Crawford, Charles Wade, Jimmy Love, Charlie Hager, Don Hazelwood and all friends family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Relay for Life.
