Alice Jeanette Huminik, age 84, succumbed to illness and passed away on May 15, 2019 in Clovis, NM. During her life she lived in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Kentucky. Alice was born April 6, 1935 to Wilber Samuel Doll and Julia Elizabeth Doll (both parents predeceased). Alice graduated from Oxon Hill High School in Maryland. During her life she was a loving mother to four children and had a career as a legal secretary. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, decorating cakes, and sewing. Alice had a talent for making a house feel like a home and welcoming guests.
A funeral service for Alice will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM with Pastor Wayne Boydston officiating. A family-and-friends gathering with refreshments will follow. The family greatly appreciates flowers at the service or donations in Alice Huminik's memory to Presbyterian Regional Medical Center Foundation, Attention: Administration, 2100 N. Martin Luther King Street, Clovis, New Mexico 88101.
Alice's family tree includes her brother John Doll and wife Barbara; her daughter Yvonne Nelson and grandchildren Orrin Silverman, Samantha Silverman and wife Jasmine, and Andrew Nelson; her son Sheldon Huminik and wife Susie, grandson Jeffrey Huminik, and granddaughter Mary Vodicka and great-grandchildren Sike and Zane; her daughter Valerie Corrado, grandson Sean Armstrong and wife Sarah and great-grandchildren Isaiah, Xavier, and Kayla, granddaughter Christina Griffin (predeceased) and great-grandchildren Dominic and Billie; and her son Burton Huminik (predeceased). Alice also enjoyed time with many cousins.
Alice's family takes comfort in knowing that she will join her father and mother, her son Burton, and her granddaughter Christina, who are at peace in Heaven
