Alma Mcgough

Services for Alma McGough age 81 of Clovis will be held Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Turvaville officiating. Private Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends are asked to stay after the service to visit with the family. Alma was born December 21, 1927 in Muskogee, OK. to Jesse and Nannie Cargile Cox. She passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Alma graduated from Muskogee High School in 1945. She married Robert C. McGough December 24, 1946 in Muskogee then moved to Clovis. She worked for Mt. Bell as a telephone operator and she helped her husband with their service station in Clovis. She also later volunteered at Stanfield Kindergarten and in the early 70s she went to work for the Postal Service where she worked as a clerk and retired in 1989 to care for her husband. She loved to play bingo and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by four sons Robert Terry McGough of Poteau, Ok; Phil Kay McGough of Carthage, Tx; Steven Susie McGough of Clovis; Kenneth McGough friend Joy Blanchett of Sunrise, Fl; two daughters Tanya Randy Skaggs of Clayton, NM; Valinda Alan Young of Midland, Tx; four sisters Ann McKinzey of Collinsville, Ok; Doris Posvic of Lombard, IL; Jean Devine of Bristow, Ok; Sue Mills of Jenks, Ok; one brother Gary Cox of Broken Arrow, Ok; Grandchildren great grandchildren Brandon Karina McGough Alexander of Sorrento FL; Shawn McGough of Houston, Tx; Janet Brice Reddell of Katy, Tx Jameson; Julie Brad Dieter of Longview, Tx Braden; Jennifer James Hart Tanner, Trevor and Treyla; Jeff McGough of Clovis; Robyn Jason Henderson Jackson; Curtis Toni Skaggs of Clayton, NM Akira; Eric Skaggs and girlfriend Jessica Gilbert of Clayton, NM; Ashley Young of Midland, Tx; Jillian Berto Luna ; Janae Jack of Anderson of Shepard AFB, Tx; Kristen Ruiz Issac.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and one sister.
