Amelia Armenta

September 5, 1935 — July 8, 2022

Clovis

Our beloved Amelia Fernandez Armenta passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Amy lived her life with great joy and passion in everything she did, she shared real loving kindness with everyone she knew and met.

Amy was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 5, 1935. She married Rodolfo (Rudy) Ruben Armenta in Tucson, Arizona on October 8, 1956. She and Rudy shared a wonderfully loving marriage, and were blessed with three beautiful Children: Ruben Rodolfo Armenta of New Mexico, Cecilia Bettina Lester of Nevada, and Raphael Robert Armenta of Missouri. The family Amy leaves behind includes: Her husband, three children, two brothers and one sister, Five Grandchildren and Eleven Great-grandchildren. Amy is preceded in death by four brothers.

It's true that Amy touched the lives of so many people and her incredible talents were many. Her creative ability could be seen in her paintings, stained glass, her work as a beautician, a floral arranger/decorator, as well as in the numerous quilts she made and shared with her friends and the members of the many local quilt clubs, societies and guilds she so truly enjoyed and loved so very much. These included: AQS, Tucumcari, Ogallala, High Plains, Pecos Valley, Llano Estacado as well as judge for fairs and festivals.

Her family and friends deeply miss her and her wonderful spirit they look forward to that blessed day when we will again be with her. Her beautiful smile and laughter will be dearly missed but it's the endearing, deep love and caring she had for her family and friends that we will never forget.

The family asks that instead of flowers a donation be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Interment will be on a later date at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.
