Amelita Jenkins

Amelita R. Jenkins age 87 of Clovis, NM passed away November 5, 2007 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. She was born March 18, 1920 in Bennington, Oklahoma to George and Cles Hart Risner. She married William O. Jenkins on November 7, 1939 in Columbus, NE. She moved to Clovis in 1995 from Roswell, NM where she was a Clerical Assistant for the Roswell Fire Department. Before moving to Roswell she and her husband ran a General Store in Capitan, NM where they raised their three children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Texico. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her two sons William Sam Jenkins and wife Janice of Texico, NM; Robert Ray Jenkins and wife Darlene of Clovis, NM; one daughter Liz Bauer of Weatherford, TX; One sister Gloria Moore of Saratoga, CA. Seven grandchildren Dara House and husband Chris of Colorado Springs, CO; Clyde Jenkins and wife Lindsay of Texico, NM; Kara Crow and husband Garrett of Texico, NM; Chris Williamson of Clovis, NM; Jason Fugua and wife Mindy of Seminole, TX; Tiffany Jenkins of Clovis, NM; and Jeremy Goodrum of Weatherford, TX; eight grandchildren Mason and Brooke Jenkins of Texico, NM; Bryson Crow of Texico, Nm; Charles Michael Williamson of Clovis, NM; JLea, Sydney and Layton Fuga of Seminole, TX; Zane Jenkins of Clovis, NM. She was preceded in death by two brothers William Stanley Risner, Donald Risner, two sisters Maxie George Risner, and Lucy Mae Labouve.
P Services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Texico Baptist Church in Texico, NM with Rev. Rob Hollis officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers will be Clyde Jenkins, Jeremy Goodrum, Chris House, Garrett Crow, Curtis Boyd, and Butch Allen. The family
