Anacleto Ortiz, Jr, "Chacho",65, passed away on January 30, 2016 in Clovis, NM.
Rosary will be recited at 6 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life services will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 2 PM at San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, NM with cremation at a later date.
Anacleto was born in Mission, TX to Anacleto, Sr. and Paula Parra Ortiz on August 31, 1950. He attended school in Texico, NM. Anacleto married Genevieve Aragon on June 6, 1974 in Farwell, TX. He worked at Excel Meat Packing for 38 years. Anacleto served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church of Texico.
Anacleto was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Phillip Ortiz, granddaughters, Aliya Galvan and Gena Mowles, a grandson, Julian Dimas, brothers, Ricky Ortiz and Thomas Ortiz, a sister, Hope Lucero and son-in-law, Tommy Serna.
Anacleto is survived by wife, Genevieve Ortiz of Texico, children; Pat Ortiz of Texico, Leticia Galvan and husband Ruben of Farwell, Anita Sema of Texico, Connie Mowles and husband Robert of Colorado, Jimmy Dimas of Clovis, 6 brothers; Arturo Ortiz and wife Elaine of Dodge City, KS., Frank Ortiz of Clovis, Jimmy Ortiz of Houston, TX., David Ortiz of Dodge City, KS., Manuel and Simone Ortiz of Mexico, 5 sisters; Rosa Ortiz of Houston, TX, Elsie Hill of Clovis, Norma Williams of Texico, Alicia Jones and husband Willie of Dodge City , KS., Raquel Hernandez of Mexico, 17 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are: Tori Ortiz, Tony Rega, Chris Dimas, Adan Serna, T. J. Serna, David Ortiz, Marivel Galvan and Thomas Ortiz.
