Anna Minton

Anna Belle Minton, 87, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. She was born March 22, 1919 in Post, Texas to Benjamin Stella McGehee.

She married J. W. Dub Minton may 8, 1943 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She had been a resident of Clovis since 1983 when she moved from Southern California. She had worked as a cafeteria manager for several schools until her retirement after over 23 years service. She was a member of 21st Street Church of Christ. Her grandchildren were her life.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lanita Callahan of Sun City, Arizona and Gwen Bain her husband Ricky of Clovis, New Mexico; 2 sisters, Mary Forbis of Peoria, Arizona and Annette Sherrod of Wichita Falls, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Greg, Joe, Jason, Amanda and Shane; 6 great grandchildren, Denise, Kimberly, Bryan, Autumn, Josiah and Joseph Marcus. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 4 brothers, LeRoy, Weldon, John and Raymond and 1 sister, Jewell McGehee.

Casketbearers will be her grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9, 2006 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Cecil Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
