alignjustifyAnnabel Lea Ford passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX, Sunday, July 22, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. Annabel was born at the old Baptist Hospital in Clovis on June 3, 1932 to K. C. and Anna Mae Lea. She graduated from Clovis High School and attended Eastern New Mexico University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 1954. Annabel taught elementary school for 26 years with 23 of those in the Clovis School system.
alignjustifyAnnabel met Max Ford and they were married on October 24, 1953. She raised three children and was a devoted mother, grandmother and educator. She also loved her pets and adored her Dachshunds. Annabel retired from teaching and then was involved with the Plains Regional Center Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Annabel enjoyed being with her family and was also a member of the High Plains Good Sams Club, enjoying time in their RV. Annabel was preceded in death by her parents, K. C. and Anna Mae Lea and her brother, Billy Lea.
alignjustifyAnnabel is survived by her devoted husband Max of 53 years, three children; Steven and wife Pam of Punta Gorda, FL, Dianna Hunt of Clovis and Douglas and wife Jane of Clovis. Annabel had ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
alignjustifyMemorial services will be Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Steed-Todd Chapel with Rev. Lance Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Cremation has taken place.
