Antonia Gallegos

Antonia Toni Gallegos was born on February 4, 1944, in Yeso, New Mexico, to the home of Filadelfio and Clarita Zamora, and passed from this life on Thursday, January 12, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Toni loved life and loved to make people laugh.

She is survived by her six children, Monica Gallegos of Amarillo, Texas Leo Gallegos and his wife Veronica of Waco, Texas Paul Gallegos and his wife Tammy of Eugene, Oregon Joseph Gallegos of Midland, Texas Rita Gallegos Clifford Naranjo of Clovis, New Mexico and Dolores Gallegos Amanda Trout of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She is also survived by two brothers Oracio Zamora wife Mary of Clovis, New Mexico, and George Zamora wife Nancy of Belen, New Mexico. Toni is survived also by her precious grandchildren, whom she loved and adored: Jessica Russell, who helped as Grandmas caretaker, Leo Gallegos, Matthew Gallegos, Patrick Gallegos, Darren Gallegos, Karen Gomez, Claudia Gomez, Samuel Gallegos, Leo Isaiah Gallegos, Kayla Gallegos and Zachariah Gallegos one great granddaughter: Matalie Gallegos and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her childrens father Locario Gallegos, her sister Mary Gloria Perez, and her brother Willie Ronquillo.

A rosary in her honor will be held at SteedTodd Funeral Home on Saturday, January 14 at 7:00 PM. A visitation to share memories will be on Sunday, January 15 at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at St. Anthonys Parish in Fort Sumner, on Monday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Simeon Wimmershoff, officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Sumner Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Art Sena, Clifford Naranjo, Patrick Gallegos, Phillip J. Perez, Danny Zamora, and Michael Zamora. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ft. Sumner Fraternal Order of Eagles.
