Art Arthur G. Hoffmann, age 63 of Clovis, New Mexico went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, after a long, heroic battle with cancer. Art was born on December 24, 1949 to Bud August A. and Hilda Hoffmann in Cincinnati, Ohio.
A loving husband, joyfully celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife Anne Jo Anne this last July, and loving Dad Art enjoyed spending time with his family, taking his grandkids for ice cream every week, working on cars and listening to music.
He proudly served his country for 22 years, at home and abroad, retiring a Senior Msgt., From the United States Air Force in 1992 at Cannon AFB. Art was an experienced mechanic, avid gardener and enjoyed doing anything with his hands.
A long with his wife Anne, he had been a member of First Baptist Church of Clovis for 23 years, regularly volunteering there to help with odd jobs and handing out Christmas gifts to area children. Very fond of his church family and especially proud of his homemade Cincinnati chili, Art looked forward to meals and social gatherings at his church.
Art was passionate about his favorite charity, St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, which he lovingly called his pearl. He faithfully contributed to St. Judes for over 20 years, and was well known for his faith in God, compassion and love of children everywhere.
