Austin Hall

Austin Lynn Hall, 50 of Portales, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 2, 2016.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Portales. Burial will follow at the Floyd Cemetery. Michael Erwin will officiate.

Austin was born February 24, 1966 in Granada Hills, CA to Ernest Lynn and Barbara (Gay) Hall.

Austin worked as a cabinet maker yet his hobbies were hunting, fishing, golf, being a comedian and occasionally, panning for gold. Friends and family say that he should have been a football coach for his love of the game. He was an avid San Francisco 49er's football fan. He loved his kid, grandkids and his many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parental grandparents; Mike and Oneida Hall and maternal grandparents; Alford and Ola Mae Nixon, step grandparents; G.R and Chris Shirley and mother-in-law, Cathy Lenard.

Austin leaves behind, his wife, Laurie Carvey Hall, daughter, Austina Hall of Taos, NM, son, Justin Hall of Portales. Daughter, Cheyenne Hall of Portales, granddaughter, Liliana Maliah Hall, grandsons, Nicholas Hall and Christian Hall, father, Ernest Hall of Portales, mother, Barbara and husband Ronald Shirley, father-in-law, Preston Lenard of Portales, sister, Rhonda and husband Vernie Davis, brother, Shane and wife Hillary Shirley and many uncles, aunts nieces , nephews and cousins. A special thanks to his Caregiver for 5 years, Antonia Olivas.
