Barbara Devore

Barbara Ann DeVore, 74, passed away on February 11, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Barbara was born on August 28, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Allen Dee and Jenny May Weaver.

Barbara attended school and graduated in Clovis, New Mexico. She was baptized and worshiped at 21st Church of Christ and 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

Barbara married Ron DeVore on August 9, 1968, while he was stationed at Cannon AFB in Clovis. Barbara worked at the AFB. They traveled to Canada where Ron was stationed at Goose Bay Labrador. They spent time in California at Castle AFB and then was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Texas.

After Ron's retirement, Barbara and Ron attended services at Sunset Church of Christ. Ron attended the Sunset School of Preaching while Barbara took classes as well.

Barbara's last years were spent in Clovis, New Mexico where she lived with her sister Loyce until she moved into the Wheatfield Assisted Living. Her last two months were spent at Ventura Place Assisted Living in Lubbock, Texas.

Barbara is survived by her son Chris DeVore, and daughter Shana Wehrman of California; five grandchildren, Justin Weatherford, Cole Robbins, Vivienne DeVore, Tony DeVore and Bailey DeVore; two sisters, Leona Hughesof Clovis, NM and Loyce Troia of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Ron DeVore (6-18-2012); two sons, Michael DeVore (1969), and Andrew DeVore (2022); two brothers, Allen Weaver (1935), and Leonard Weaver (1977); sister Leona Weaver (1936), and parents Dee Weaver (1976) and May Weaver (2006).
