Barbara Wade

Barbara Frances (Hill) Wade of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on December 17th, 2015 in Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, December 28th,
2015 at Steed Todd Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Urioste and Dick Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery.

Barbara Wade was born in Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana to Claude Caycee Hill and Maude Mae Hale.

Barbara was married to Thomas J. Wade on March 15, 1958 in Kokomo, Indiana. She worked as a manager with Mountain Bell Telephone Company for 30 years. Barbara was active in the community with the American Heart Association Heart Fund, Cancer Fund, Jaycettes, Telephone Pioneers, and a member of Central Baptist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies including cooking, canning, reading, and genealogy.

Barbara Wade is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers (Edmund and Charles), and 2 sisters (Vermon and Mary).

Barbara is survived by her husband Thomas J. Wade, her sisters; Margaret Smallwood and Virginia Reed, her daughter Kristal M. Wade and David DeMartelaere and step grandson, Richard DeMartelaere, her son Troy N. Wade and Trish Wade, her daughter Cynthia D. Wade and James Carter, her grandson Travis N. Wade and wife Michelle Wade, and her great granddaughter Layla Wade.

Pallbearers will be David DeMartelaere, James Carter, Bob Wade, Wayne Wade, Steve Teitz, and Doug Bowman.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
