Benjamin Ben Ross Hillock, Sr., left this world to go to his eternal life in heaven on Monday, August 30, 2010. Ben was born on October 10, 1938 in Clovis, New Mexico. Ben enjoyed his family, the Dallas Cowboys, fishing and serving his Lord through his church and Emmaus.
Ben is survived by his wife, Patty three daughters, Tonia Carpenter, Terry Fred Sanders, and Tina Hillock, all of Lubbock, Texas one son, Ross Kerrie Hillock of Lubbock, Texas three stepsons, Franklin Paula McCasland of Tucumcari, NM, Randy Cynthia McCasland of Altus, OK, and Mark Tara McCasland of Hutchison, Kansas and five brothers, Virgil Helen Hillock of Broken Arrow, OK Earl Hillock of Cleburne, TX Charles Candy Hillock of Simpsonville, SC Mickey Shae Hillock of Corsicana, TX and Gordon Debbie Hillock of Lubbock, TX. Ben was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, Charles Otto Hillock, mother, Frances Hillock and an infant brother Eddie Hillock.
Visitation is at SteedTodd Funeral Home. Closedcasket services will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 1:30 p.m. at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 2600 N. Main, in Clovis, New Mexico, with Rev. Ross Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery. Casket bearers are Michael Chavez, Bill Cooper, Robert Morgan, Mike Richmond, Rob Roark, Mark Smith, Joe Ward, Vic Worley and Bobby Littlejohn. Honorary casket bearers are all coworkers from ENMRPlateau, Emmaus members and friends.
