Bennett Tater Delwin Williams, 72, of Clovis passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Amarillo. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2011 at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM with Pastor Rick Dye officiating.

Bennett was born on October 19, 1938 in Littlefield, Texas to Robert and Doyle Williams. He attended school in Littlefield, graduating from Littlefield High School in 1957. He then served 2 years in the United States Marine Corps in Oceanside, CA. Bennett married Peggy Sue Wallace on September 5, 1958. They resided in Oceanside, CA for 1 year before moving to Littlefield and later Clovis. Mr. Williams loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and camping in the mountains. Bennett was a hard working man of few words. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bennett is survived by his wife, Peggy Williams of Clovis, NM 2 sons, Paul Williams and wife Mihaela of Kettle Falls, WA and Michael Williams and wife Leann of Amarillo daughter, Cindy Borders and husband Stephen of Clovis and Crystal Scatena, who was like a daughter of Amarillo brother, John Williams and wife Debbie of Albuquerque sister, Anona Roberts and husband Jerry of Littlefield 10 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bennett is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Williams and Doyle Page.
