The Book of Ecclesiastes speaks to all of us as it tells us there is a time to be born and
a time of death. Peacefully in the late night hours of Monday, May 21, 2012 Bennie
Elizabeth Baldwin passed on to greater things. Our mothers maiden name was
Wooten and her parents are Alvin and Leatrice Wooten who lived in Portales until
their deaths. Her remaining living sibling is her brother, Buster Wooten of Portales.
Her other siblings are Billie Harwood and Gary Wooten, each of whom are deceased.

She has three Children. These children are, Darryl Carol Baldwin of Clovis,
Donna Ronnie Montague of Clovis and Denise Scott May of Pueblo, Colorado.

At the time of her death she was the grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 4 great
grandchildren. There are many other family members too numerous for this article.
Bennie was born in Levelland, Texas but was raised in Portales. After marriage she
lived in Clovis until her death.

Many people in our communities knew Bennie. She certainly had a strong will and
positive attitude. She simply could not continue any longer and has passed into glory.

Services will be held at the 21st Street Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. The date is Friday,
May 25th, 2012. All Friends are invited to her celebration and memorial service. This
celebration and memorial will recount her many accomplishments and endeavors. Casket bearers are Bennies grandsons: Clint Montague, Clayton Montague, Ryan Ware, Jarod Baldwin and Dusty Jones.
