Benny Gonzales

Benerito “Benny” Gonzales, 70, of Clovis passed away on Oct. 2, 2022, in Lubbock Texas. He was born June 1, 1952, to Antonio and Virginia Garcia Gonzales in Clovis, NM.

He is survived by one daughter Tammy Lopez (Luis), two granddaughters Tammy Marie Garza of Houston, TX. and Nicole Lopez of Muleshoe, TX., two great grandchildren Benjamin & Isacc; three brothers, Jimmy (Josie) Gonzales of Lubbock, TX., Paul (Cathleen) Gonzales of Clovis, and Ray Gonzales of Clovis; two sisters, Estella Florinda (Fernando) Hernandez of Clovis, and Carol Montiel of Clovis; one Uncle Henry Garcia; and one Aunt Marcella Garcia. He had numerous nieces and nephews that he always shared his laughter with.

Benny enjoyed his sweets, Tejano music and always loved to sit outside.

Benny is preceded in death by his beloved father Antonio Gonzales, mother Virginia Garcia Gonzales, and sister Mary Hurtado.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM. Funeral services following at 10:00 AM with Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
