Bernabe Bernie Sena, 57, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at his home in Clovis. He was born January 6, 1951 in Clovis to Frank J. Felicita Marquez Sena.
He served in the U. S. Navy and Marines. He had worked in construction, in a bookstore, as a carpet layer and at the railroad. He married Merlinda Bargas, October 8, 2007. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and American Legion Post 13 in Albuquerque and Post 25 in Clovis.
He is survived by his wife, Merlinda Sena of the home in Clovis; 1 daughter, Denise Anderson Dustin of Clovis; 2 brothers, Frank PoPo Sena Jr. of Santa Rosa, New Mexico and Tommy Sena of Clovis; 5 sisters, Pasty Baca Ray of El Paso, Texas, Catherine Montano, Margie Lopez, Gloria Chavez Jimmy and Dolores Chavez all of Clovis; 1 aunt, Aurelia Martinez of Clovis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Pedro Sena.
A rosary will be held Wednesday May 7, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection following at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alfredo Sena, Louis Montoya, Jimmy Garcia, Bobby Montoya, Lencho Lucero Harold Duran.
