Bessie Gonzales

Bessie Vicenta Gonzales, 88, of Clovis passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 in Clovis. She was born April 19, 1922 in Trementina, NM to Florentino and Encarnacion Martinez. She was married to Dionicio Gonzales on January 25, 1946 in Trementina, NM. She was a dedicated wife and mother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Dionicio her daughter, Ramona grandsons, Daniel Gonzales and Ian Gonzales and her brother, Ben Martinez.

She is survived by her seven children, Barbara Jean Frank Crespin of Culver City, CA, Albert Gloria Gonzales of San Marcos, TX, Rudy Gonzales and fianc, Areceli Salazar of Lawndale, CA, Louis Gonzales of Clovis, Jimmie Lisa Gonzales of Clovis, Carlos Gonzales of Clovis and Mary Danny Baca of Clovis. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 8 greatgreat grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Geronimo Martinez of Amarillo, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Clovis NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Clovis NM. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery, Clovis, NM. Pallbearers will be Anthony Crespin, Robert Crespin, Adrian Montano, Jeremy Montano, Ryan Gonzales and Larry Roybal, Jr.

The family of Bessie Gonzales would like to offer our most sincere thanks to The Retirement Ranch, Plains Regional Medical Center and Vista Care Hospice of Clovis for the excellent care and compassion that was provided, not only to her but to her family as well. We will forever be grateful.
