Betty Jean Sprinkle, 86, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on February 14, 2018 in Clovis, New Mexico, surrounded by her children. Visitation and Funeral Services will be provided by Steed Todd Funeral Home, arrangements will be provided by the same. Visitation services will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, February 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 with Trey Sprinkle, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born on May 2, 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama. She eloped with the love of her life, Denny Eugene Sprinkle on January 1, 1952. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Betty first worked as an assistant manager at Gibsons before selling insurance for New York Life. In later years, she would become self-employed and known locally as the "Avon Lady". Between a busy life, Betty was an active member of Eastern Star for 46 years. She loved needlework and bowling.
Her family was the center of her life, she loved sitting around her kitchen table playing games with them. Betty's family will always crave her fried chicken and fish. When it came to sports, Betty was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and enjoyed watching baseball.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Irene Landreth and father, James Austin Fields, her husband, Denny and brothers, Lewis Fields and Jerry Fields.
Betty is survived by her brother Johnny and Janice Fields of Theodore, Alabama. Her sisters, Oleta Fields of Mobile, Alabama, Bonnie Sprinkle of Pensacola, Florida, and Louise Fields of Kississmee, Florida. Her children Penny Tuszynski of Clovis, New Mexico, Denny and Vala Sprinkle of Clovis, New Mexico, Jim Sprinkle of Cedar Hill, Texas, Melinda Kirksey of Clyde, Texas, Tammy and Brent Myers of Clovis, New Mexico. Her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren with another to be born soon.
Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers given the honor of delivering her to resting place will be her grandsons, Treven Sprinkle, Tanner Sprinkle, Christopher O'Neil, Michael Kirksey, Marcus Kirksey, Austin Graham, Landyn Graham and Hunter Graham.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Roll Tide, ROLL!!!!
