Graveside services for Billie Fay Bass age 74 of Clovis will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Billie was born August 28, 1934 in Peacock, Texas to B.I. and Bendetta McDonald Greer. She passed away on April 26, 2009 at her home in Clovis. She graduated from Elida High School, after graduation she went to work for the Telephone Company in Portales. She met M.D. Bass in Portales and they were married May 7, 1954 in Elida, New Mexico. She was a member of Sandia Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling in the Wednesday Morning Coffee League.
She is survived by one son Mark and wife Lynda Bass of Clovis; one daughter Bendetta and her husband David of Lubbock, Texas; one sister Sue Woodcock of Clovis; one brother Jim Greer of Deming, New Mexico; three grandchildren Chance Cruger of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cade Cruger of Lubbock, Texas, and Dusty Bass of Clovis, New Mexico; seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home 800 E. Manana Blvd Clovis, New Mexico 88101 575 763-5541 www.steedtodd.com. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aloha, Sylvia, Socorro, Joyce and PRMC Hospice. Pallbearers will be Mark Bass, Dusty Bass, Chance Cruger, Cade Cruger, Jim Greer, and Tracy Barrows. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews and the ladies of the Wednesday Morning Coffee Bowling League. Memorial contributions may be made to PRMC Hospice in Clovis.
