Billie Howard

Billie Howard, age 81, of Clovis, NM passed away on May 18, 2014 at Heartland Continuing Care Center in Portales, NM.

Billie was born on January 16, 1933 in Tulia, TX to Bill and Edna Boren Miller. She graduated in 1951 from Tatum High School in Tatum, NM. She married Boyd Sides on June 1, 1951. Billie worked as a cook at Eugene Fields School. She was also a cook for Days Nursing Home until she retired. She enjoyed camping, traveling and she loved playing with her grandchildren and reading books to them.

Billie is survived by two daughters: Edna Ross Lovins of Hamilton, OH and Boysetta Willie Beggs of Portales, NM daughterinlaw Gale Sides of Odessa, TX four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, one son, Bill Sides and two grandchildren, Darrell Lovins and Vanessa Lovins.

Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Texico Cemetery in Texico, NM. Pallbearers are Levi Beggs, Billy Mack Westerman, Harold Willis, Gabe Acosta, Ronnie Williams and Kenneth Williams. Honorary pallbearers are all of Billies family and friends.
