Billie Robberson

Funeral services for Billie Robberson of Melrose, NM will be held on March 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Melrose Church of Christ with Clay Mimms and Coy Hunt officiating.

Billie Robberson was born to James and Tinnie Underwood on March 9, 1920 at Jordan, NM and departed this life on March 14, 2016 in Clovis, NM.
She was married to James Howard Robberson on Oct 30, 1940 in Clovis, NM, and into this union were born one son and three daughters.

She is survived by a daughter Frances Townson and her husband James of Melrose, a son Dale Robberson and his wife Patty of McAlister, NM, A daughter Gail Hunt and her husband Coy of Shallowater, TX, a son-in-law Dennis Watson of Olathe, KS, and a brother-in-law Gene Robberson and his wife Charlotte of Ufala, OK. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Tinnie Underwood, her husband James Robberson, a daughter Connie Watson, a daughter-in-law Beverly Robberson, and sisters Alta Underwood, Mattie Carter, & Edna Cope.

Pall bearers will be grandsons Larry Watson, Andrew Watson, Chad Patton, Bret Southard, Keith Corbin, Russell Wheeler, Kevin Maynard, and Luke Winters.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven cemetery in Clovis, NM.

She was baptized into Christ at an early age and remained a faithful Christian all her life. She loved to work with kids and served as a Bible School teacher at church for a number of years. She was also the assistant Postmaster at McAlister, NM for 21 years and was secretary for the Ladies' Extension club for a period of time. She loved to attend the Ladies' Bible classes in McAlister and Melrose.

A special thank-you is extended to the medical staff at the High Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis for the excellent care and compassion extended to our loved one and her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Mexico Christian Children's Home in Portales, NM.
