Billy Hendrix

Billy Hendrix, age 75, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on July 30, 1935 to Henry and Wreathel Knap Henrix in Tucumcari, New Mexico. He and his family were raised on a farm near House and McAlister. He married Margaret Joan Williams on January 1, 1956. Billy and Joan, in the early years lived in Clovis, New Mexico and Pampa, Texas, before moving to Lubbock, Texas to make their home for the last 54 years. Billy worked in the service department doing appliance repair for Sears and retired after 35 years of service. He loved being with his family and being on his ranch.

Billy is survived by his wife Joan Hendrix of Lubbock, Texas three sons, Raymond Debra Hedrix of Spade, Texas, Randall Hendrix of New Deal, Texas, Rodney Terri Hendrix of Lubbock, Texas one brother, Nathan Hendrix of Albuquerque, New Mexico six grandchildren, Michael Hendrix, Matthew Hendrix, Kayla Hendrix, Elizabeth Hendrix, Kolton Hendrix, and Jessica Hendrix.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Wreathel Hendrix one daughter Tamra Hendrix two brothers Cecil Hendrix and Albert Hendrix one sister, Elfreda McGeehee
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Browning Cemetery near McAlister, New Mexico. Honorary casket bearers will be all his grandchildren.
