Billy Mccasland

Billy McCasland, 76, of Clovis, NM, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at his home in Clovis. Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the 16th Pile Street Church of Christ in Clovis, NM at 11:00 AM. Garrett Bookout and Larry Tittle will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dudley Cash, Bob Clark, Bobby Davis, Fred Eichenberger, Vaughn Graham, Max Kelso, Nathan Macias, Gene McGlaun, Richard Motl and Joe Rhodes.

Billy was born February 3, 1938 to Z and Aline McCasland in Clovis, NM. Billy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn, of the home, sons Ellis McCasland of Lubbock, TX, Casey McCasland of Clovis and Bud McCasland of Clovis, his former Daughterinlaw, Lisa Jo Norris McCasland of Clovis, grandchildren Carli Lance Layton, Lubbock, Katy Jo McCasland, Lubbock, Parker Z McCasland, Clovis, and two great grandchildren, Layne Aldyn Layton and Gentry Holden Layton, Lubbock. Billys brothers are Don JeTonne McCasland of Clovis and Lynn McCasland of Dallas, TX. Billys sisterin law is Betty Isham of Springdale, AR. He is also survived by his many good friends that he became acquainted with over the years from the cattle and real estate business.

Billy graduated from New Mexico State University in 1960 with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry. Billy and Carolyn lived in Las Cruces, NM, Pueblo, CO, and Hereford, TX before settling in Clovis, NM where he was in the cattle and real estate business. Billy served as a Deacon at the 21st ST church of Christ and later was a member of the 16th Pile ST Church of Christ. Billy enjoyed visiting the sick and was a dedicated member of the church where he had many friends whom he loved. He most of all loved his three sons, daughterinlaw, and grandchildren.

Billy will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.
