Billy Standifer age 79 of Clovis passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his home in Clovis. Memorial Services are scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Christ with Bishop W. Charles Green officiating. Cremation has taken place. Billy was born November 27, 1928 in Altus, Oklahoma to Lewis and Ethel Fields Standifer. He attended school in Waco, Texas and Aguillia, Texas. He work in his own business mowing lawns and a caretaker. He enjoyed playing cards, collecting junk, fixing bicycles, listening to music, painting and doing errands for people. He married Beleria Kelly December 8, 1995 in Clovis. Billy gave his life to the lord on and he loved to praise God and pray.
He is survived by his wife Beleria Standifer, one daughter Geneva Stanly of Lubbock, Texas; adopted daughter Donna Coats of Clovis; two brothers Iv Standifer of Fort worth, Texas; Homer Standifer of Port Mouth, Virginia; and three sisters Willie L. Smith of Waco, Texas; Edith McGowan of New York, New York; and Ethola Mornes of Vallejo, California; nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons Willie Standifer and Stanley Brown; four brothers Edward, J.T., Louise, and Lesely Standifer; three sisters Maggie Smith, Dorothy Degrate, and Lucy Standifer.
