Bobby Martin

Bobby W. Martin went to be with Our Lord on February 25, 2017.

Bobby was born on June 25, 1947 to Maynard and Winona (Nonie) Martin in ONeal, Nebraska. He married JoAnne Haddon on February 5, 1968. He worked and retired from Bovina ISD after 23 years.

Bobby is survived by his wife JoAnne Martin of the home; his children, Stavana (Cary) Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Keri (Glenn) Reeves of Clovis, NM; 6 grandchildren, Caitlin Glaze of Chattanooga, TN, Elena Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN, Jacob Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN, Blake Brammer of Clovis, NM, Dara Brammer of Clovis, NM, and Logan Brammer of Clovis, NM; 1 great grandson, Eli Glaze of Chattanooga, TN; 2 sisters, Carla Jo Fickel of Cabool, MO., and Brenda (Monte) Brady of Clovis, NM; and life-long friends, Ken and Sandi Hutchinson of Albuquerque, NM, and Kay Frasier of Melrose, NM for their love and their support.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Maynard and Winona Martin of Texico, NM; sisters, Donna Gayle, Rhonda Nadine; and one brother, Benny Preston.

Our family would like to thank extend a special thank you to the Hospice Unit, Dr. Lux, Tracy Autry, Tami Leonard, Treva Wright, Denise Summons, MaryAnn Alegre, and Kylie Bonneau for the special care and the dignity, love and tenderness you showed Bobby.

A visitation will be held at Steed-Todd Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Texico, 224 Turner St., in Texico, NM. A private burial will be held following the service in the Texico Cemetery.
