Bonita was born October 10, 1938 in Tucumcari NM. Daughter of R. B. Marshall and Neva (Shiplet) Marshall.
Bonita Hill was the proud Mother of 5 Children along with 14 grandchildren and 31 great grands.
She had many different jobs in the beginning of adulthood consisting of providing patient care skills in Las Vegas Nm, working as a seamstress at Levi Straus, managing Broasty Chicken and a few Allsups convenience stores in Clovis NM. Being a manager allowed her to proceed as a cashier at Furrs Supermarket and Save-n-Gain from where she later in life retired, however out of all the jobs she had her favorite was being "Granny Bo!"
Our Mother loved all her children and grandchildren and showed it through cooking, making her awesome fudge , along with the arts and crafts she shared with everyone she loved. Sewing, crocheting and wood carving were some of her specialties. Some of her wood carvings won first place ribbons in NM and Ohio.
Granny Bo, as her grands and friends called her, was a very Godly woman and attended Forrest Heights Baptist church along with her beloved best friend, Arlene Dixon of over 70 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir, being part of the church family and having many long lasting friendships.
Granny Bo found it important for all to believe in our Heavenly Father. In the last few months of her life, she was making blankets for grands and coloring bibles for her adult children as a reminder of her love for the Lord. She passed while listening to her favorite gospel music.
Bonita is survived by four daughters, Twilia Chumney and husband Roger, Tammy Constancio and husband Joe, all from Amarillo Tx, Trenda Sweeney-Dillon and husband Tony of Lewisville Tx, and Tanya Beatty and husband James of Clayton NM and one son, Bryan Cosby and wife Patricia of Canyon Tx, a sister Roxie (Marshall) and husband FA Adair of Vega Tx, also numerous neices and nephews and the loved Glenda Hardegree family.
Bonita loved her sister Roxie and life long friends, including Sandra Starritt, Barbara Jenkins and Illa Jones to name a few.
All of her children loved her and she will be so very missed.
We sure do love you Granny Bo! You will always be our SUNSHINE!
What a JOYUS Day it is, do not weep for me for I am celebrating with JESUS and all my loved ones!!
Bonita is preceded in death by RB and Neva Marshall-parents, Michael Claire Marshall-brother, Jerry Cosby and Quentin Hill, Michael Scott Adair-nephew, Thomas Michael Tarver-grandson and two granddaughters Erin Renee Naslund and Destinie Brooke Baxley.
