Funeral service for C. L. Mahaney, 83, of Farwell, TX, will be held at 1:00 PM CDST Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the 5th Street Church of Christ in Farwell with Phillip Steyn and Guy V. Speck officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.

C. L. Mahaney died October 29, 2007 in Levelland TX. He was born August 21, 1924, in Aspermont, TX to E. C. and Lorraine Mahaney. He married Gloria Womack on April 15, 1948, in Lamesa, TX.

He was a WW II veteran, farmer, and Rural Mail Carrier. He was a member of the 5th Street Church of Christ in Farwell, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one grandson, Gary Throckmorton; 2 brothers, Boyce and Ross; one sister, Tess Davis.

Surviving are his daughter, Lana and Glenn Throckmorton of Midkiff, TX; son, Robin and Lynne Mahaney of Farwell; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children; one sister, Ernestine Duncan of Lubbock, TX; one brother, Johnny Mahaney of Lubbock, TX.

Pallbearers are Jody Mahaney, Justin Mahaney, Jade Mahaney, Amy Throckmorton, Rex Ward, Chuck Ward, Carl Speck, and Guy V. Speck.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lubbock.
