C. Mcalister

C. Lois Sis McAlister, 96, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Retirement Ranch in Clovis. She was born April 27, 1911, in Cook County, Texas to Jim Laura Poston Owensby. She married Paul E. McAlister April 21, 1938, in Vernon, Texas. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 1 son, Paul D. McAlister Beryl Ann of Clovis; 3 daughters, Ella Rose Burkhalter Bill of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Nancy Ann Beck Bob of Enid, Oklahoma, Mary Kay Billingsley Butch of Logan, New Mexico; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Bill Owensby of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband; 1 son, John; her parents; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Larry Tittle officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, New Mexico.

Casket bearers will be Danny Burkhalter, Quincy Burkhalter, John McAlister, Brian McAlister, Travis McAlister and Butch Billingsley.

The family will be at the home of Paul McAlister. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
