Carol Jacobs

Monene Jacobs, 66, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at her home. She was born September 3, 1940 in Clovis to Hub Edna Disney Mize.

She graduated from Clovis High School and received a BS and Masters Degree from Eastern New Mexico University. She married Jim D. Jacobs August 11, 1963 in Clovis. She was a teacher at Parkview Elementary until starting her family. She loved being a homemaker and sewing. She was an avid painter. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Ranchvale Extension Club.

She is survived by her husband of the home in Clovis; 1 daughter, LeEdna Bailey Andrew of Tyler, Texas and Grandchildren, Roper Bailey, Ashleigh Jacobs, Harley Jacobs and Sarah Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Shana Jacobs and 1 son, Shaun Jacobs.

Pallbearers will be Norris Conklin, Garland Conklin, Dwayne Disney, Charlie Sorgen, Harold Wolfenbarger Merritt Mize. Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and neighbors and the PRMC Hospice Nurses and Doctors.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Clovis with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom and Dr. Ran Loy officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to PRMC Hospice.
