Carol Ann Johnson, 67, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at her home in Clovis. She was born October 17, 1941, in Elwood City, Pennsylvania to Morris Alfred Gladys Viola Austin Price.

She was a longtime resident of Clovis and had been married to her husband for 46 years. She was a cafeteria worker at Clovis High School for 17 years and was cafeteria manager at Mesa Elementary School until her retirement in 2006 after 32 years with the Clovis Municipal Schools. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the School Food Service Association. She was also a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Johnson of the home; 1 son, Craig Johnson Kim of Clovis; 2 daughters, Cindy Martin Rocky and Lori Hicks Todd all of Clovis; 1 brother, Mike Popescu Caroline of Clovis; 3 grandchildren, Blake Garrett Hicks and Makinzie Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, JoAnn Shaffer.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Parkland Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Brooks and Wayne Boydstun officiating. Burial will follow at Texico Cemetery, Texico, New Mexico.

Casket bearers will be Craig Johnson, Rocky Martin, Todd Hicks, Blake Hicks, Garrett Hicks, Mike Popescu Kolt Merren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
