On July 23, 2017 Casey N Hollaway entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Services will be Friday, July 28th at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Melrose. Burial to follow at the Melrose Cemetery. Viewing will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday the 27th at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Casey was born on March 15th, 1974 in Fort Sumner NM to Bill and Melinda Hollaway. Casey was raised in the Truth of the Gospel and chose to live his life serving Jesus. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1993 and then went on to receive his journeymen's license as an electrician that led him into the wind energy industry. Casey married Saphronia Pyle on October 28th 2002 in Alexandria VA. In 2005 Casey and Saphronia moved back home to start their family. On December 28th 2005, Renise Blythe Hollaway was born, and almost three years later on September 23rd 2008, Zona LeeAnn Hollaway was born. Casey embraced his role as a loving and very hands on Daddy. He provided, protected and led his family always allowing God to be his guide. He most definitely carried on the Godly Legacy he was raised in, never missing an opportunity to interject Christ into life's lessons for his girls.
Casey was a life- long member of Melrose First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and AWANA programs Commander. Never was he afraid to step up to the plate and take on any task, and anything Casey did he did whole heartedly. He was also a volunteer fire fighter, and a loved member of the Melrose Community.
Casey was preceded in death by his mom; Melinda Hollaway, his maternal granddad; Kenneth Reed, and his paternal grand-parents; Finis and Eva Hollaway, plus his uncle Clifford Hollaway.
He is survived by his wife, Saphronia Hollaway, his beautiful daughters, Renise and Zona of Melrose, and 1 adopted daughter Misha Riley of Melrose, father and step mom Bill and Barbara Hollaway of Clovis, sister Dedra Martin and husband Daryl of Melrose, brother Wesley Hollaway and wife Dustie of Albuquerque, and Granny Laveeta Knight of Melrose. Casey was also survived by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and numerous friends, he was loved by all.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Baptist Children's Home. The family would like to thank our amazing Melrose Community and Church Family for surrounding us with love, prayers and support you have shown our family.
