Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for Catalina Cecilia Martinez of Log Lane Village, Colorado.
Catalina "Kathy" Martinez, 55, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on March 1, 2022. She entered this world on August 20, 1966 in Portales, NM, born to Esequiel Cordova and Patricia Montano.
Visitation will be at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel Monday, March 7 from 4-8 p.m. A rosary will be recited Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe church at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Rogelio Tarango, Esequiel Cordova, Juan Carlos Cordova, Jose Martinez, Alejandro Retana and Christopher Martinez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Angela Murillo, Stephanie Jojola, Esequiel Cordova III, Sylvia Cordova, Erika Cordova, and Amanda Lucero.
She lived in New Mexico most of her life moving to Colorado in 2006 when she met the love of her life Rogelio Tarango. She was a homemaker that loved cooking and eating.
Catalina loved her children and grandchildren to the moon and back and her family unconditionally and with a passion. Her hobbies were dancing, shopping, listening to all types of music, arts/crafts and most of all she enjoyed putting on her makeup, talking on the phone and making people laugh.
She was preceded in death by her father Esequiel Cordova, brothers Levy Cordova, Esequiel Cordova II and her nephew Manuel Jojola.
She is survived by the love of her life Rogelio Tarango, daughter Claudia Cordova (Jesse Retana), son Esequiel Cordova (Roxanne Escamilla), son Jose Martinez, her grandchildren Alejandro Retana, Brianna Retana, Kaylee Retana, Nevaeh Cordova, Araceli Cordova, Demrie Cordova, Xavier Ordonez her mother Patricia Montano, brother Jerry Montano, sister Teresa Cordova and sister Carol Cordova (Teodoro Castaneda). Her very much loved nieces and nephews Angela Murillo, Stephanie and Daniel Jojola, Juan Carlos and Esequiel III Cordova, Amanda Lucero, Levy Jr, Sylvia and Erika Cordova, Holly, Rosa and Amber Montano.
