Cathy was born on March 31, 1970 to Mary Ellen Valverde in Los Angeles, CA.

Cathy is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fidel and Chavela Valverde.

Catherine "Cathy" Valverde age 49 of Clovis, NM died at PRMC in Clovis, NM after fighting for 3 years to battle Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Cathy went peacefully surrounded by those who loved her dearly. Despite Cathy's illness, she did her best to remain humble and rarely ever complained about the level or amount of pain she was in. She was the most loving and considerate partner, grandma, mom, daughter, sister, and friend anyone could ever ask for. Cathy always went out of her way to check on others. Even during her worst times, she was more concerned with how you were doing. Cathy loved binge watching some of her favorite TV shows, visiting with friends and family, caring for her grandkids, and spending time with the love of her life, Bubba. Cathy touched so many lives and will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones!

Those left to cherish her memory are, her fiancé, Stephen (Bubba) Page of Clovis, NM, her son, Freddie Steve Garcia of Clovis, NM; daughter, Sabrina Elena Garcia of Clovis, NM; her parents Mary Ellen and George Lovato of Clovis, NM; Fermin and Rosa Reyes of Friona, TX; grandchildren, N'Finity Reagn Garcia of Albuquerque, NM; Rain Xandria Amaris Chavez of Clovis, NM; Cathleen Larissa Garcia of Clovis, NM; sister, Bella Cowell (Dennis) of NC; brothers, Michael Reyes (Marcy) of Ralls, TX; Marcus Reyes (Veronica) of Friona, TX; Moses Reyes (Barbara) of Borger, TX; best friend, Rachel "Raquel" Page of Clovis, NM; Ninos, Bernie and Patsy Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM; uncles, Don Segura (Toni) of Clovis, NM; Ray Valverde (Rose) of Santa Rosa, NM; Bobby Valverde (Debbie) of Albuquerque, NM; Vicente Valverde (Geraldine) of Albuquerque, NM; aunt, Rita Valverde Casaus (Mark) of Bernalillo, NM; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends who cherished and honored her.

A rosary will be recited for Cathy at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Steed Todd Home Chapel with Pastor Gillis officiating. Inurnment will be held at Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are George Lovato, Freddie Steve Garcia, Ronnie Valverde, David Lovato, and Anthony Lovato. Honorary pallbearers are Vicente Valverde, Bobby Valverde, Brian Page, and Joseph Hamel.
