Caturia (Terri) Watson
Terri Watson, 80, of Clovis passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 80.
Terri was born on July 4, 1943 to Cecil and Martha Pyle in Clovis.
She married Raymond Watson on June 2, 1960 and they were married 63 years.
She graduated from ENMU with a Masters Degree in art and was an art teacher at Gattis Junior High and Clovis High School until she retired.
She touched many kids and encouraged different talents far and wide.
She taught drawing, ceramics, painting, and photography.
She received funds from the state legislature to build the dark room lab at the high school.
She loved to read and instilled a love of history to her children and grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling and visiting many historical sites and going to new places.
She loved to cook, especially sweets, and passed down her recipes to friends and family.
She was loved by many people and will be terribly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Merle; her parents; brother Conner Pyle, sister Jean Smith, brothers-in-law Tom Watson and Jim Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, daughter Lena Willis, grandchildren Brittany Willis, Megan (Aaron) Cline, and Chase (Tsia) Willis.
She was also proud of her six great-granddaughters: Mariah, Rhiannon, Callie, Scarlett, Lily and Lennon. Sisters-in-law Carolyn Turner and Vestana Watson. She also had several nieces and nephews, and cousins whom she loved. She was especially close to niece Ashley Pyle and cousin Bonnie Cross.
Graveside service have already taken place.
