Charles C. E. Riggan, 75, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Plains Regional Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1934, in Clovis to Silas James and Mary Belle Roden Riggan.
He was raised in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1952. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years as a Carman, retiring in 1993. He also served in the U. S. Air Force. He loved the outdoors and to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home 2 daughters, Susan Evans of Tijeras, New Mexico and Lynetta Babbitt Kerry of Clovis 2 sons, Mike Riggan Barbie and Chuck Riggan Mandy all of Clovis stepdaughter, Sandra McAdoo of Durant, Oklahoma stepson, Barry Deakle Rachel of Mobile, Alabama 1 brother, Bill Riggan of Cerritos, California 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Betty Anngelyn Trull Riggan.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at SteedTodd Chapel in Clovis. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Honor.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May, 9, 2010.
