Charles F. Sims, 88, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008, north of Clovis. He was born November 13, 1919, in Marlow, Oklahoma to Charles Fletcher Fredonia Moore Sims.

He was a veteran of World War II. He was a life long truck driver and a lifelong resident of New Mexico. He was known for his sense of humor and love for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sims of the home in Clovis; daughter, Donna Mirabal Ruben of Clovis; sons, Buddy Morris Cathy of Farmington, New Mexico and Mike Sims of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Tanya, Tommy Marty Mirabal of Clovis, Brian Morris of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kimberly Holiday Jeff of Las Cruces, New Mexico; great grandchildren, Jason, Jazmin and Laila Mirabal of Clovis, Chloe and Lynzie Mirabal of Colorado and Morgan and Mahaley Holiday of Las Cruces; sister, Margie Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Steed-Todd Chapel.
