Charlyne Sisler, 91, died May 24, 2009, at her home in Clovis after a brief illness.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, officiated by Dr. Herbert Bergstrom.
Charlyne was born June 26, 1917 in Clovis, New Mexico the only child of Charles and Wesley and Edna Marie Allyn and continued to live her entire life in Clovis. As a child she loved watching the trains, plus the social atmosphere of the Gran Quirira or Harvey House where her father was a telegrapher. She attended Clovis Schools and after graduation, and during the war, she worked some years at Mountain
Bell and also at the theaters writing ads and cashiering.
In September of 1945 she married Joe B. Sisler after his return from four years of war duty in Europe. Her life was busy and fulfilled with her avid love of art and extensive reading. She loved to travel and entertain with her husband of 50 years through their participation on committees to further the growth and affairs of Clovis.
She is preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
