Cheryl L. Richardson, age 63, of Melrose, New Mexico passed away on April 24, 2012 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Cheryl was born on November 11, 1948 to Frederick B. and Olive M. Mullen Hess in Buffalo, New York. She married Charles E. Richardson on October 18, 1969 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Cheryl loved to cook and working on her family tree. She also loved crafting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her family was the most important thing in her life.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Charles E., of the home two daughters: Trilby Matthew Higby of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Shirley Cory Porter of Clovis, New Mexico five grandchildren: Jaelena Brady Knight, Charlotte Zachary Thompson, Amber Spencer Haines, Dylan Porter and Rachel Porter three great grandchildren: Mattilyn Knight, Alice Thompson and Kayden Haines and her motherinlaw: Ruby Richardson of Melrose, New Mexico.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
