Christine Ready, age 90, of Melrose, died on Thursday, February 17 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico. She was born on September 16, 1920 to Roland and Erman Blackburn Tinnin in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
Christine graduated from Clovis High School in 1938, and worked until retirement as a dispatcher for the New Mexico State Police. She married Jimmie Clark on June 25, 1940. After Jimmies passing on September 19, 1960, Christine married George Thomas Ready on December 31, 1964. She was a talented artist in oils, water colors and pastels, and loved to do needlework and gardening. Christine also loved spending time with her friends and family, and was a member of Central Christian Church.
Christine is survived by one son, Jim Connie Clark of Colorado Springs, CO one daughter, Cathy Christesson of Melrose one stepdaughter, Rhonda Carnahan of Alvin, TX one stepson, Barry Ready of Prescott, AZ four granddaughters, Mikail Michael Tinker of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Erin Kurt Rowley of Clovis, Lora Chris Followill of Melrose, and Christine Shawn Humphrey of Florence, Colorado and one grandson, Matt Jennifer Lukens of Georgia eleven greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents both husbands, Jimmie Clark and George Ready one daughter, Carolyn Bailey two sisters, Ernestine Fien and Gerolynn Brooks.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
