Clark Collins, 78, of Texico, New Mexico, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, at his home. He was born October 19, 1931 in Grady, New Mexico to Roy and Clarine Thomas Collins.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Lillie M. Prater February 6, 1982, in Clovis. He worked as a supervisor for the New Mexico State Highway Department for over 30 years and retired in 1987. He enjoyed woodworking and repairing lawn tractors.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Dave Collins Iva of Portales, New Mexico and Pat Collins Elsa of Clovis; Aunt, Gladys Thomas of Grady, New Mexico; nieces, Linda Coiner and Chicky Hendrite both of Clovis, Denise Collins of Bradenton, Florida, Debbie Thorp of Peru, Indiana, Jennifer Collins of Dallas, Texas and Debora Birdsong of Stamford, Texas; nephews, Houston Collins of Seattle, Washington, Johnny Collins of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Ivan Collins of Spring, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and daughter, Vickie Salazar.
