Cleo Miller Qualls, 88, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born September 7, 1920, in Loving, Texas to James C. Annie L. Wilson Miller.
She was a long time resident of Curry County. She graduated from Ranchvale High School. She worked as the school secretary at Ranchvale and later the Financial Secretary at Central Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was a member of the Ranchvale Extension Club, the New Mexico Cowbelle Association, the PRMC Pink Ladies Auxiliary and the Central Baptist Church Glory Choir and Womens Missionary Union.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Lavone Q. Twilley and husband Bill of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Anita Fogtman of Houston, Texas, Marilyn Mackey and husband Joe of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Dr. Sheila Williams of Las Cruces, New Mexico; father of her children, Buford Qualls of New York; 1 brother, J. C. Miller Jr. of Sun City, Arizona; 1 sister, Shannon Perkins of Dumas, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild..
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Frankie Glen and Pauline Davis and 1 brother, Richard Miller.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Steed-Todd Chapel with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Casket Bearers will be Michael Twilley, Kent Fogtman, Jeffery Twilley, Jared Mackey, Brian Twilley, Benjamin Williams, Kyle Williams, Paul Sullivan, Carl Dodgen, Adam Long and Matt Coleman. Honorary casket bearers will be Melissa Sullivan, Shari Dodgen, Angie Long, Robin Coleman, Pam Fogtman, Jennifer Mackey and Melodie Twilley.
