Colby Jay Sneller, 32 went to join our Lord and Savior on August 4, 2023.
He was born on July 14, 1991 to Randy and Wanda Sneller in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Melrose High School in Melrose,
NM with the class of 2010.
Colby was a gentle giant. From a young age, Colby loved dirt track racing and go-cart racing. He could often be found
working on family and friend’s cars in the pit. Colby was a great mechanic and woodworker. In high school, he played football,
basketball, and threw shot-put for the track team. He and his teammates won two NM state championships in football and
won an individual shot-put state championship. Many lifelong friendships were made during his time as a Melrose Buffalo.
After graduation, Colby got a job with Carpet Tech in Clovis, NM. His customers loved him; he was reliable and a hard worker. In
his spare time, Colby loved the outdoors and fishing. He could be found hanging out with friends or catching more fish than
anyone in the boat. Most of all he loved his family, and in particular his daughter Camreigh that he welcomed in 2018. He
often shared photos and videos of adventures they had been on together with family and friends. Funny faces and big smiles were
the highlight of these pictures. Colby was fiercely protective of his brothers and close friends. He spoiled his nieces and they
loved their Uncle CoCo. His big hugs, strong handshakes, and soft spoken nature will be forever missed but not forgotten.
Colby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernie and Glenda Sneller of Dalhart, TX, and grandfather Arnold Snuttjer of
George, IA, niece Presley Morgan of Portales, NM and Patrick David Jones of Clovis, NM.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Wanda Sneller of Flagg, TX, brothers Ryan Sneller and wife Megan of Lubbock, TX and
Chase Sneller and wife Elysa of Earth, TX, Colby’s daughter Camreigh Sneller of Portales, NM, ex-wife Paige Park and
husband Steven of Portales, NM, nieces Madyson Sneller and Karlee Sneller of Lubbock, TX and Kylee Beggs and Hindlee
Sneller of Earth, TX.
Services will be held at Kingswood Methodist Church in Clovis, NM at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Officiant of the
service will be Pastor Danny Sanders. Colby loved his daughter Camreigh fiercely. The family is
requesting that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to a benefit account for Camreigh under Colby Sneller Memorial Fund
at the Bank of Clovis (300 N. Main St.) or Sneller Family Memorial Fund at American Heritage Bank in Clovis (3300 N. Prince St.) or
