Connie Mascarenas

Connie Sylvia Mascarenas, age 67, of Clovis, New Mexico, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on May 4, 1945 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to the home of Felipe and Maria Cordova Maestas.

Connie married Louis Mascarenas on November 12, 1960 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She loved gardening, crocheting and quilting. She loved to watch Gods Learning Channel. She loved music and loved to go dancing with her husband in their younger years. She enjoyed watching western movies on T.V. and especially watching Little House on the Prairie. She was a devoted mother and wife and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Louis Mascarenas of the home her children, Louie Mascarenas of Clovis, NM Johnny Mascarenas Ivis of Amarillo, TX, Jacob Lori Mascarenas of Clovis, NM Jeff Corina Mascarenas of Clovis, NM Janet Sonny Carabajal of Clovis, NM Nancy Walter Mascarenas of Clovis, NM and Jeremiah Mascarenas of Clovis, NM 21 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren two brothers, Eddie Maestas Maria of Pasadena, CA, and Herman Chris Maestas of Clovis, NM six sisters, Ida Bonnie Chavez of Clovis, NM, Esther Tony Rosas of Clovis, NM, Carmen Ramon Jimenez of Clovis, NM, Mary Inez Jose Hernandez of Clovis, NM, Tina Favela of Clovis, NM, and Christina David Garcia of San Antonio, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Maria Maestas and one brother Augustine Maestas.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in the SteedTodd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Fernando Saenz, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Matthew Mascarenas, Nicholas Mascarenas, Brian Garcia, Quinn Witt, Nathan Sandoval, James Aragon. Honorary Pallbearers will be her sons, Johnny Mascarenas, Louie Mascarenas, Jacob Mascarenas, Jeremiah Mascarenas, and Jeff Mascarenas.
