Consuela Gomez

Consuela A. Gomez, 61, of Clovis, NM passed away on November 13, 2024.

Rosary will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 6 PM in the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis with Father Eli Valadez officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Amarillo at 3 PM (CST) following the service in Clovis.

Connie loved her boys and grandchildren more than anything. Her boys remember Connie as a smart, strong woman who would do anything to protect them and make sure they had everything they needed and wanted. Her grandchildren remember Connie as the most loving Nana who would do anything to make sure they were happy.

Connie had a passion for hosting and cooking for her family any chance she could and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. Fortunately, she passed on some of her famous recipes so they can be enjoyed by her family for years to come. Connie may have been tough on the exterior but genuinely had a lot of love for her family including her sisters, nieces, extended relatives, and friends. She will be missed but her strong spirit will remain with those who were fortunate enough to be loved and touched by her presence.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Abelardo Gomez; her sisters, Alicia Gomez and Irma Sanchez; and her granddaughter, Seneca Marquez.

She is survived by her two sons, Juan Marquez (Jennifer Marquez) of Albuquerque, NM and Chuy Marquez of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two sisters, and two nieces.
