Corrine Ortiz, age 54, of Clovis, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born on April 21, 1956 to Gilbert and Nora Baca Ortiz in Texico, NM.
Corrine worked as a Security Officer for Silver Hawk Security Co., and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jonathan Jana Cunningham of Clovis, and Thomas Michelle Ortiz of Lubbock Thomas father, David Ortiz of Dodge City, KS one grandson, Devin Roberts of Clovis three granddaughters, Calie Roberts and Mayson Miller, both of Clovis, and Kye Ward of Tucumcari her mother, Nora Ortiz of Clovis six sisters, Betty Bob Pullings of Clovis Clara Ismael Cardoza of Arlington, Texas Rebecca Raymond Delgado of Spring Town, Texas Lupe Winston Acosta of Amarillo, Texas Cynthia Jose Martinez of Texico and June Orozco of Clovis two brothers, Freddie Ortiz of Texico, and Billy Ortiz of Clovis four halfbrothers, Jake, Judas, Jessie and Joel one halfsister, April two nieces: Baylee Craig McKay, and Jazmine Daniel Fierro and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Corrine is preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Ortiz, Sr. one son, Troy Cunningham one sister, Anna Garcia one brother, Moses Ortiz and one greatnephew, Luke Fierro.
A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26 at SteedTodd Chapel. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 27 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and a Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 28 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating and Deacon Bob Pullings assisting. Casket bearers will be Corrines nephews, niece and grandson.
