Dale Jones

Dale Cicero Jones of Melrose, passed away on July 26, 2016 in Edinburg, Texas.
There will be a viewing July 29, 2016 at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday July 30, 2016 at Melrose Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Herriott, officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery.
Dale was born in Clovis, NM to Herbert (Hub) and Pansy Jones on April 28, 1947. He went to school at Melrose High. Dale worked as a farmer on the family farm. Dale Served in the United States Army as a general construction machine operator from October 10, 1966 to October 9, 1969. He was assigned to Headquarters company, 7th engineer battalion where he completed a tour in Vietnam. He also earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Dale is preceded in death by his father Hub, mother Pansy, and his two brothers Jack and Herbert.
Dale is survived by his sisters Queena Cox (Fred), Clara Zinda (Joe), and Freda Jones daughters Amy Latham (Mark), Sheila Jones, Angela Jones, son Jason Jones (Anna) and daughter Cindy Marquez (Benjamin), 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Jones, Bert Jones, Eric Jones, Ben Jones, Jacoby Beard, Cheyenne Beard, Austen Vaughn, DJ Vaughn, Jermaine Kelly, and Dominique Chavez.
